Program Fees

Title Separator

In 2023 our three and four year old kinder programs are funded by the Victorian State Government under the Best Start, Best Life reform and the Free Kinder initiative. At times during the year the kinder may request families pay for one-off costs related to events such as excursions. Children who are eligible for the Kindergarten Fee Subsidy(KFS) or the Early Start Kinder (ESK) grant are not requested to pay any additional costs.

Fundraising is also undertaken to meet non-operational costs and to pay for additional items for the service. Fundraising and donations are voluntary but are vitally important to ensure the kinder is able to provide the children with the optimal environment and resources.

Progress Kindergarten participates in the Moonee Valley City Council (MVCC) Central Registration Scheme (CRS) and all applications for kinder places are made through the Moonee Valley City Council Registration portal.

The MVCC Central Registration Scheme allocates places in line with the Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET) Priority of Access criteria, located within the Kindergarten Funding Guide.  The Kindergarten Funding Guide allows for the inclusion of local criteria to support the municipalities approach to kindergarten registrations. Information on the Council’s local criteria, including registration dates and how to register, are available via the Moonee Valley City Council website.
