In 2026 our service will continue to offer a 15 hour per week funded program for 4-year-old kinder, with the option of a fee-for-service option for families who wish to extend their 4-year-old kindergarten hours.
Extended kindergarten hours will include an additional 30 minutes of kinder per day, offered between 4.00pm and 4.30pm.
This option will be managed by Progress Kinder after registration and families will be required to opt in/out during the enrolment process. The fee is yet to be determined and will be updated as soon as it is confirmed.
Families may choose only to access the Free Kinder program of 15 hours per week, which will operate between 8.30am and 4pm.
Under the Victorian Government Best Start Best life initiative, children in priority cohorts can access this additional time free of charge. In 2026, these children are:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children
- children from a refugee or asylum seeker background
- children who have had contact with Child Protection services
- children who were supported by the Access to Early Learning program in their Three-Year-Old Kindergarten year.
Families not in the priority cohort will be charged a fee at the beginning of each term. Our Enrolment and Fee policy are currently being updated to reflect this change to our program and will be available shortly.
Please contact the kindergarten directly for further information.
